Motherhood flows like a current steadily carrying us forward through the changing seasons

My story

My name is Jordan.

I am a mother, teacher, and lifelong student of the rhythms that support grounded and connected family and inner life. My work is inspired by intuition, ancestral guidance, and the herbal and nutritional traditions that have nourished us for generations. I am drawn to the steady practices that support life at home within growing families and communities— nourishing food and herbs, movement as medicine, time in nature, and the rhythms and thresholds that help children and caregivers stay present and connected.

Before becoming a mother, I spent many years working with both children and families in different ways. I am a certified teacher and a yoga instructor trained in alignment-based yoga and prenatal practice. My work has also included leading outdoor children’s programs and creating theatre camps where young children could explore imagination, movement, and storytelling.

Food has been another thread throughout my life. I have worked as both a baker and a personal chef, deepening my appreciation for the ways nourishing meals can support the wellbeing of individuals and families.

Created for connection

Over time my path has naturally moved closer to supporting mothers during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of raising children. I am trained in offering the traditional closing of the bones ceremony for postpartum mothers — a deeply restorative practice that honors the profound transition of birth and motherhood.

Through The Jordan Current, I hope to share resources, guidance, and offerings that support mothers in practical and meaningful ways. In time, this space will include postpartum meal preparation guides and sessions, support for mother blessing ceremonies, and the closing of the bones ritual for postpartum care.

Most of all, this work is rooted in a simple belief: that when mothers are supported, nourished, and held in community, families thrive.

I am drawn to the quiet practices that nourish daily life — wholesome food, time outdoors, thoughtful rhythms, and care for the body through each stage of motherhood.
